Bendix 526C (1946)
Una classica radio in Catalina. Prodotta nel colore verde, ben visibile all’interno, al momento dell’acquisto era di colore marrone con venature giallo scuro a causa di decenni di esposizione alla luce e ai raggi UV.
Ho deciso di eliminare lo strato superficiale ossidato e invece del colore verde è uscito il colore che si vede nella foto. Immagino che i pigmenti verdi abbiano subito una mutazione che li ha spostati nettamente verso il blù, cosa che alla fine non mi dispiace affatto.

A classic Catalin radio. Produced in green color, clearly visible inside the cabinet, at the time of purchase it was brown with dark yellow veins due to decades of exposure to light and UV rays.
I decided to remove the oxidized surface layer and instead of green, the color you see in the picture came out. I suppose that the green pigments have undergone a mutation that has turned them blue, which it is something I don’t mind at all.
